Demon or Angel?

Back in December i was introduced to an author from my friend, Jessica Green. Many of you know her as A Girl Amongst Books. If you haven't checked out her blog, I highly suggest you do. It's a great book review blog. She's got a team of ladies, myself included, who helps her read books in return of an honest review for the author. Anyway, Julie Morgan is one of the awesome authors i have gotten the privilege of reading her books. I am part of her street team for the Chronicles of the Fallen. The first book i read in December is Fallen.

Lisa Adams wants what every other woman wants: The perfect job. The perfect home. The perfect guy. When she receives the opportunity of a lifetime, Lisa has no idea what she’s actually signed up for. Her boss, who is tall, dark and incredibly sexy, starts making advances towards her and she’s having a hard time telling him no. Lisa begins seeing things that are scaring the Hell out of her. Nightmares are leaving her frightened.
Then there’s this new guy that’s come into her life. He brings a new light into the darkness that threatens to claim Lisa. He’s mysterious, heartwarming and kind. Not to mention the most beautiful man she’s ever met. But something with him seems to be off.

Faced with love, seduction, sacrifice and deceit, Lisa will find herself being pulled in two directions; one pursues her to claim her soul and the other will sacrifice everything to save her.

In my review, I gave Fallen a 5/5 stars and this is what I have to say:

Lisa loves her job and will do anything to make it to the top. She is infatuated with her boss but then meets the hot guy living in her building and they form a connection. One guy is out to destroy her soul and the other is trying to save her. Who will she choose?

This book had me completely sucked in and wishing I was Lisa. I would highly recommend this book if you love paranormal. I would recommend this book even if you weren't into paranormal books. The love and compassion that is built in this story is like no other.

You can find this book at the following link:

You know how when you finish a book and then realize it's only the first in the series and you want to immediately buy the other five books? The second book hasn't been released yet so i thought I had to wait. Luckily, i didn't have to wait long and then i was given an ARC , advanced reader copy, of Redemption.

It's not on Amazon yet but i did find the book description on Goodreads. The cover I got from Julie Morgan.
Lisa's choice has been made. She's living her dream and couldn't be happier. Then as news comes to shed light on her happily ever after, a series of events are set in motion. Some want to claim what is rightfully theirs, others want to mold and mentor in a positive light.

Alex feels the demon inside of him growing stronger, day by day. Will he be strong enough to keep it at bay? When new demons come into Lisa and Alex's life, the two think they know what their intentions are, but do they truly?

There's a demon on the prowl and he has every intention of taking down Alex and destroying Lisa in the process. When Lisa finally understands what is happening to her, will she lose herself and destroy everything she loves or will she seek redemption and accept what she has become?

I give this book a 4/5 stars and this is what i have to say:

This book is not as intense as the first book but had a very strong plot. There are several twists and turns in it that you never see coming.  I felt that some of the characters weren't as developed as they could have been but have been reassured they will be developed more in future books.

Lisa is pregnant and they wonder if it's demon or angel. There are several people who claim they are there to help them but Lisa isn't sure who to trust. When things turn from bad to worse, she is left to find her way back to Alex. Unexpected forces come together to fight the never ending battle and things finally start looking up for the new parents.

I am looking forward to the third installation of this series. Overall, this is a great series to start reading. I highly recommend it to everyone.
